Alakai Anne-Kristine Tischendorf wanted to perform a hula for President Obama during his visit to Norway as a gesture to honor his Hawaiian background. After having been turned down by the peace prize concert people, the Nobel committee, the King and Queen, and the TV2 channel, she went ahead and did it anyway in the central square of her hometown, H¿nefoss. Local news media got interested and portions of her dance were presented on television and on the internet, along with a personal interview. The Huna Fellowship (the Second Life branch of the Aloha Fellowship) had a big holiday party in Melemele on Pali Uli Island. There was synchronized hula dancing to Hawaiian Christmas songs at the George Naope Theater, lots of interactive fun things to do at the George Naope Bar, and free presents for everyone from the Christmas tree at the George Naope Museum. In addition there was a Star Treasure Hunt on Holani Island and at the Baroque Palace and Opulence Pavilion on Pali Uli with money prizes for everyone. Click on the image for a larger view.
From Alakai Judy Suchting: "My work is steadily building up and I have been privileged to allow some lovely people into my life as clients and friends. I am attracting the exact amount of massage work that I need and my healing work in that respect has blossomed and expanded, especially after experiencing the wonderful massage with Susan and Sigrid. My work at Curves has increased and I am making some wonderful connections with the women there. There are several who have welcomed the Huna knowlewdge and healing I have been able to share with them and each week that goes by I seem to find myself sharing with someone new. I am still working on my Dynamind study and have several case studies so far - again I am allowing this to happen instead of trying to force it to. So, as usual EWOP. Life is wonderful and being an Alakai is such a huge honour and privilege.
