Dr. James Brinkley, Jr.
Jim Brinkley was a man of wide-ranging interests and practices. He was an opthalmologist, a surgeon, and a Clinical Professor of Opthalmology. He had a large medical practice in southern California and was much loved by his colleagues, office staff, patients, and students.
Jim was an Alakai of Aloha International, and incorporated Huna and Shamanic Healing into his medical practice. He wrote many articles for the website, and taught one-on-one. His generosity has helped sustain the outreach work of Aloha International for many years.
As his long-time friend Terry Biaggi puts it: "He was a model physician, a well respected professor and had built a very successful practice. His employees respected and liked him and he tried to mentor and take care of them like a father. He was the most intelligent person I have ever met in my life. He was also one of the most generous and unselfish souls I have ever known."
You'll always be in our hearts, Jim!
